Matt Hayes at the Sporting News has concluded his two-week analysis of player rankings in each of the six BCS conferences with an overall player ranking for the BCS schools.

Quarterback
10. Willie Tuitama, Arizona
Jay: Best in the Pac-10?

Running back
5. Joe McKnight, USC
9. Keegan Herring, Arizona State

Wide receiver
6. Mike Thomas, Arizona

Jay: Stroughter is No. 5 in the Pac-10.

Tight end
8. Ed Dickson, Oregon

Jay: Croom’s No. 3 in the Pac-10.

Offensive line
5. Alex Mack, California
7. Max Unger, Oregon

Jay: There’s your 1 & 2 in the Pac-10.

Kicker
1. Thomas Weber, Arizona State
3. Kai Forbath, UCLA
10. David Buehler, USC

Jay: Thomas Weber is a stud. According to Hayes, the Pac-10 sports the best collection of kickers in the country.

Defensive line
1. Fili Moala, USC
7. Nick Reed, Oregon

Jay: There’s your 1 & 2 in the Pac-10.

Linebacker
2. Rey Maualuga, USC
5. Brian Cushing, USC
7. Reggie Carter, UCLA

Jay: USC is frakin’ stacked.

Defensive back
3. Taylor Mays, USC
7. Patrick Chung, Oregon
10. Kevin Ellison, USC

Jay: There’s your 1, 2, & 3 in the Pac-10.

Punter
4. Keenyn Crier, Arizona
5. Aaron Perez, UCLA

As a side note, Hayes notes that ASU is one of the most over-rated teams heading into the ‘08 season.
