Corvallis – Oregon State senior offensive guard Roy Schuening from Pendleton, Ore., has been named to the inaugural Pro Football Weekly Collegiate All-America First Team, it was announced Friday.
Schuening will start his 50th game (OSU record), all consecutively, Dec. 28 when the Beavers play the Maryland Terrapins in the sixth annual Emerald Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco. He is also expected to play in the Senior Bowl, and was recently selected to the 2007 Pac-10 Conference First Team.
Schuening will leave OSU playing in three bowl games in four years and was part of several of the program’s biggest victories, including wins over then No. 2 California this season and then No. 3 USC in 2006.
